Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the payroll process, incentive calculation, managing any benefits throughtout the region and ensuring proper compensation practices and policies.
Major Responsibilities
Implements policies and procedures pertaining to payroll, compensation and
benefits
Managers payroll process and ensures payroll database reflects current and accurate information
Calculates commissions, bonuses and any additional incentive following methodologies implemented by the Finance team
Manages vacation accrual and reporting to payroll providers
Manages benefits such as savings fund, food vouchers, retirement fund, insurance, etc.
Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel actions; confidential and sensitive performance
problems; documents of non-renewal and termination actions, organizational plans, and legal
actions
Key user for payroll, benefits and compensation relared audits
Designs compensation packages based on business goals and strategy
Creates a consistent compensation guideline that matches work and organizational culture
Creates and analyzes job descriptions evaluations and classifications
Conducts salary and labor market research to define benchmarks
Assesses employees needs by conducting organizational surveys
Keeps updated with new trend and best practices within the market
Ensures that compensation practices are in compliance with current laws and regulations
Education & Experience
Bachelor´s Degree in Administtation, Human Resources, Accounting or similar
At least 4 years of experience in payroll, compensation and benefits
Relevant Work Experience
Prior experience in HR operations and knowledge of best practices
Familiarity with current employment rules and regulations
Hands on experience with quantitative and qualitative research
Qulifications
Strong communication and personal skills
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Self-directed and a results-oriented way of working
Ability to be a business partner for all levels of the company
Fluent in English, spoken and written
