Job Summary
Support the Legal & Compliance department in acting as the company’s business partner to ensure that it operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards.
Major Responsibilities
Remain current with applicable laws and regulations that form the basis of the compliance program, and be responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the risk-based corporate compliance program for the Medline Latin America business.
Work closely with the US-based compliance team to implement the corporate anti-corruption and anti-bribery compliance program (ABAC Program), including third-party due diligence, contracting, and monitoring.
Work closely with the Privacy Officer EMEA and HR personnel.
Advice on legal and compliance related matters to the Latam team and establish strategies to handle each case.
Work as a liaison between the US-based compliance team and the Latam team
Lead implementation and development of other Compliance Program related projects, as necessary
Education & Experience
Successfully completed university studies in law and/or at least 7 years of experience as a compliance professional in an international company, preferably in the life sciences industry or at least in another highly regulated industry
Relevant Work Experience
Knowledge and expertise in transparency laws, anti-bribery / anti-corruption legislation
General knowledge about law in Latin American countries, preferably Mexico, Panama, Colombia and Chile
Experience with training colleagues on compliance matters

Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Self-directed and a results-oriented way of working
Ability to be a business partner for all levels of the company
Fluent in English, spoken and written; Portuguese language skills are a big plus
